Importance of being you.
Importance of being the person you are.
To the youth and to everyone else it’s important to note that you will always be you. What I mean here is everyone is created unique; and everyone is special; and everyone else is already taken so why bother about being someone else when you can be you.
In this world of million dilemmas it’s not important that you stay alive but remain sane as well - right through out, and right till the end. It’s usually the original that is priceless even if it’s priced less.
Your own home TV channels will beam beauty ads telling you how you can improve your colour, your texture and your look and be just like the person on the ad. Your neighbourhood channels will tell you how someone is special and how some has achieved something which you can only aspire for. Your own fertile brain will look at some else’s car or somebody’s possession and make you yearn for the things they own or possess. The question is not whether this is right or wrong, the question is: Is that you? The simple answer is NO.
Everyone has their unique identity, their unique story and even their unique struggles. While measurement metric for all of us are the same, the inputs, the process and the challenges we face are different - and these even within the same family. What to talk of the world!
However there is nothing wrong in changing your perspectives internally without affecting your external looks or appearance. While it sounds simple it does require some changes to be made within. People don’t make perspective changes looking at a reflective mirror.
If you stand in front of a mirror you can identify 50 things that can be better with what you see on the mirror including the mirror. But that’s a waste of time as all of these already exist and are superficial. What you should choose instead is to improve your perspective on how you see the world. However this cannot happen unless you see yourself the way you are - the unadulterated, the raw, the flawed and yet the beautiful you. Any change to your perspective does not require you to change your physical self. It only requires you to be mindful, open to contemplation and open to the world of possibilities.
Even with a change in mind or changes to your perspectives, I want to conclude by saying that you will still be you and always beautiful!
